Cleveland Cavaliers
The have little rocky history since their first season in 1970, but if your team will be introduced this time you will never know. Cleveland Cavaliers begin their first season in the 1970-1971 season with the Portland Trailblazers and the Buffalo Braves. Their first season started slow and they have the league’s worst record that year. By the third season, they have made some improvements and have a regular season record of 32 and 50. In the fifth season in the league Cavaliers will eventually make it into the playoffs and they will even win their first playoff series, but they will end up losing to the Celtics in the second round. 1976 season marked the best coach so far, and they even named coach Bill Fetch franchise’s NBA this year.
1980 change little things like Ted Stepien bought the Cavs and will begin their long road to play basketball recruit bleak and ugly. The main concern Ted was saving money, so he often went trade any first round picks that the team will. Because the money was pinch running, Cavaliers never been able to improve their game and become a real competitor in the league. They never won more than 28 games all the time that the control team Stepien.
The the mid-eighties to bring some fresh new ownership at the Gund brothers, and led the team into playoff contention. Cavs take a player like Brad Daugherty and Mark Price, and finally won a couple of seasons. In 1992, Cleveland won 57 games in the regular season and is expected to take the NBA Finals. They, however, ran into major problems named Michael Jordan when they reached the second round of the playoffs against the Bulls.
The ten years or so we’re more positive than the previous twenty, but still no real shot at the NBA Finals or deep postseason hopes. Then came the year 2003 which marked a new era for the Cavs. They received the first overall draft pick LeBron James. James changed the whole organization when he came in, doubling the regular season that year to win. They reached the playoffs again in 2006 with James at the helm, and won more than 50 games. They will lose to the Pistons in the second round, but a big step in the right direction. In the 2006-2007 season, will make the Cavaliers to the conference finals only to meet the Pistons again. This time they win and go to their first NBA finals. In this Final Cavaliers would be eliminated by San Antonio Spurs, but this is a new motivation in the arrest team. LeBron James has secured its place as the NBA All-Star and opened the way to where we are now, with the Cleveland Cavaliers held the best record in the NBA. This may or may not be the year they took the Championship, but with LeBron James on their side they have a pretty good chance.
